Cat Moloney
CAT Moloney is an Independent Australian singer & songwriter based in Melbourne. Cat Moloney released her debut single ‘Out of Place’ in 2019. Her follow-up single, ‘FIRE” was abruptly put on hold due to Melbourne lockdowns in the pandemic, but the “FIRE’ burning in Cat could wait no longer. With 2022 beginning, Cat Moloney has launched herself back in to performing and is excited to be officially releasing ‘FIRE’, with her premiere music video release show on 13 August 2022 at the S Lounge in Black Rock (the venue that supported Cat Moloney during the filming of the music video ‘FIRE’ on the beach cliffs). Cat is looking forward to the year ahead sharing her music with you all.
CAT Moloney‘s music is influenced by her love for R’n’B, jazz, funk, soul, EDM and pure POP. CAT Moloney‘s songs have their own stories and their own sound. Cat Moloney writes her music to create a piece of art work, music that can be relevant to all, with one of her main passions being that her songs call out to empower, uplift and inspire all.
CAT Moloney grew up in Melbourne and has been performing professionally for over 20 years in original, corporate and covers bands. As a singer and songwriter, CAT Moloney has regularly performed nationally around Australia and Internationally, to hundreds and thousands of music fans every week.
CAT Moloney is a Music Graduate of Victorian College of the Arts. It is here she not only honed her music skills as a singer, but also developed her songwriting skills further. With an eclectic passion for many genres of music and a love not only for popular contemporary music, CAT Moloney‘s music is influenced by her love for jazz, funk, soul, EDM and R’n’B. CAT Moloney‘s songs have their own stories and their own sound. Cat Moloney writes her music to create a piece of work that is it’s own unique art work, not dictated by what’s popular at that moment, but music that can be relevant to all. Her songs call out to empower, uplift and inspire all.
Cat Moloney has worked at all levels in the music industry, including working alongside over the years, the likes of David Hobson (Composer, Pop & Opera singer), Phil Turcio (Songwriter/Producer/Pianist - Guy Sebastian, Richard Marx), David Hirschfelder (Film Score Composer & ex-Little River band) & Simon Binks (Australian Crawl).
CAT Moloney has also been heard singing on many radio jingles and television commercials nationally.
On top of CAT Moloney‘s extensive music training and experience in entertainment, she has spent many years as a vocal coach and has studied at the University of Sydney, and is a qualified Practising Speech and Language Pathologist.
